HP Can’‘t Give UK Docs To FBI In Fraud Case, Judge Rules

The claims against their client are based on a “business dispute over the application of UK accounting standards, which is the subject of a civil case with HP in the courts of England, where it belongs,” they said. On Tuesday, HP’s Global Corporate media relations director, Emmanuel Fyle, provided Law 360 with a statement calling the rejected application a “purely procedural matter”. Representatives for Lynch and Hussain did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday. The HP claimants are represented by Patrick Goodall QC of Fountain Court Chambers and Conall Patton of One Essex Court, instructed by Travers Smith . Lynch is represented by Robert Miles and Sharif Shivji 4 Stone Buildings , instructed by Clifford Chance. Hussain is represented by Andrew McIntyre of Brick Court Chambers, instructed by Simmons & Simmons . The case is ACL Netherlands BV and others v Lynch and another, case number HC-2015-001324, in the in the Business and Property Courts of Justice of England and Wales.
