Court of Justice clarifies effect of prorogation of jurisdiction under Brussels II Regulation

On a reference from the Court of Appeal (England & Wales) (Civil Division), the Court of Justice has clarified the effect of prorogation of jurisdiction under Regulation 2201/2003 (“the Brussels II Regulation”), concerning issues of jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in matrimonial and family law matters.
