Harry Matovu QC recognised in the Powerlist 2021 as one of the most influential Black professionals in the UK

Harry Matovu QC has been recognised in the Powerlist 2021, the authoritative annual publication of Britain’s 100 most influential people of Black heritage in the UK.   Now in its 15th year, the Powerlist honours the most inspirational men and women across a range of sectors, including business, the media, sport, science and technology, and the arts.  The list is selected by an independent judging panel, which considered people who have the "ability to change lives and alter events, as demonstrated over a protracted period of time and in a positive manner".

This year’s Powerlist, led by Lewis Hamilton, was announced at a prestigious virtual awards ceremony on 17 November 2020 sponsored by JP Morgan, PwC, Linklaters, Herman Miller, Refinitiv, Facebook and The Executive Leadership Council. 

Harry Matovu is recognised as one of the most influential Black individuals in the Politics, Law and Religion section.  He was interviewed at the start of the awards ceremony about the Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions, which he has devised.  The Charter, which aims to improve equality of opportunity for talented Black professionals in the financial and professional sectors, is officially supported by the City of London Corporation and its Founding Signatories are Allen & Overy, Freshfields, Herbert Smith, Barings, KPMG and PWC.  See here
