Two new Deputy High Court Judges appointed from Brick Court

The Lord Chief Justice has appointed Kelyn Bacon QC and Andrew Henshaw QC as part time Deputy High Court Judges under s. 9(4) of the Senior Courts Act 1981.  These part-time appointments were made on the recommendation of the Judicial Appointments Commission following a competition. They are for a fixed period of four years.

Kelyn will sit for up to 30 days per year.  She will continue to practise, specialising in Competition and EU Law, with particular expertise in State Aid Law and pharmaceutical regulation.

Andrew will sit for up to 30 days per year.  He will continue to practise, specialising in commercial litigation and arbitration, Public Law and EU Law.
