Mark Cran QC

Called to the Bar in 1973, Mark Cran was one of the most junior members of the Bar to be appointed Queen's Counsel in 1988. He has a well-deserved reputation for thoroughness of preparation, and effective cross-examination, and as a clear, experienced and persuasive advocate. He is numerate, a good team player, and works exceptionally well with experts on complex technical issues.

Recognised in the Directories as a leading silk in Commercial Litigation, he specialises in major cases both in the UK and overseas (most recently in extensive litigation in Switzerland and the BVI). He practices in courts and arbitration tribunals in several jurisdictions and also in the ECJ; in administrative, disciplinary and regulatory tribunals; and at public inquiries.

He has a wide domestic and international litigation practice, embracing investigatory, advisory and drafting work as well as trials, inquiries and arbitrations, and covering most areas of commercial activity including:-
