Brick Court practitioner to join influential European Commission Group of Experts on Arbitration and Brussels I

Brick Court Chambers are pleased to announce that Klaus Reichert has been appointed by the European Commission to a Group of Experts to help the Commission, in the context of the review of the Brussels Regulation, to consider how best to:

• strengthen the effectiveness of arbitration agreements;
• ensure good coordination between judicial and arbitration proceedings; and
• enhance the effectiveness of arbitration awards.

The Group of Experts will assist the Commission in the preparation of legislation or in policy definition.
