Brick Court supports Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions

04/12/20

Brick Court Chambers has today become a Supporter of the Charter for Black Talent in Finance and the Professions.  It does so along with 4 Pump Court, and the two sets are the first barristers’ chambers to support the Charter.

Chambers is very proud to be an ally of and advocate for the Charter. We hope that, by giving our support to it, we can assist the drive to bring about changes in workplace cultures and specifically to challenge and remove obstacles to ensuring that Black talent enters, and is given fair opportunities to succeed, at all levels of professional organisations, including at the Bar. We are deeply committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion and this initiative helps to foster those values and to work towards change.

The Charter was devised by Harry Matovu QC and it was launched at the end of October. Its website is here.
