On 29 April 2021 David Bailey was selected for appointment as the first Professor of Practice in Competition Law at King's College London, after more than two decades of teaching and practice in the field. Professors of Practice must be eminent practitioners who have had a major impact on fields important to the university’s teaching and research. Alongside his practice, initially as a solicitor and now as a barrister, David has taught at King’s College London since 2001. He received the King’s Education Award for Sustained Excellence in 2016 and again in 2019.
