First female ECJ Judge to join Brick Court Chambers as a door tenant

Brick Court Chambers is delighted to announce that Judge Fidelma Macken has joined chambers as a door tenant, as of 1st March 2013.

Judge Macken was a Judge of the European Court of Justice between 1999 and 2004 where she was the first appointed female Judge.  Judge Macken returned to Ireland to sit in the High Court in Dublin and then Supreme Court between 2005 and 2012. During her time at the Bar in Dublin she specialised in European Law, Irish Constitutional Law, Public and Administrative Law, Company Law and Intellectual Property.

Judge Macken will be accepting appointments as Arbitrator. She is a trained mediator and patron of the Irish Commercial Mediation Association, and will also be delivering strategic advices and opinions to clients.
