Four new tenants for Brick Court Chambers

Brick Court Chambers is delighted to announce that Tobi Olasunkanmi, Sam Hunt, Emma Rawkins and Robyn Bower-Morris will join Chambers as full tenants, following the successful completion of their pupillages. Tobi joined Chambers in June, and Sam, Emma and Robyn will join in September.

Tobi Olasunkanmi holds a BA in Law from the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours and an LLM from Harvard Law School with Dean’s Scholar Prizes. He received awards at both institutions for placing first in a number of courses. Before coming to the Bar, Tobi practised as a solicitor in London and Washington DC. He was a Senior Associate, representing governments and commercial parties, in international arbitration and technology regulation matters. Tobi also worked as a Senior Research Scholar advising on frontier AI governance at the Institute for Law & AI, a Teaching Fellow at Harvard Law School, and a researcher for the UN Special Procedures. During pupillage, he assisted with competition, technology, and public law disputes, including abuse of dominance, FRAND, and subsidy control proceedings. Tobi joined Chambers in June 2026.

Sam Hunt graduated from Cambridge University in 2022 with a First-Class degree in Classics. After an MPhil (also in Classics at Cambridge), he studied for the Graduate Diploma in Law at City, University of London and obtained a Distinction. He then undertook the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, graduating with a Distinction. During the GDL and Bar Course, Sam was a recipient of, respectively, the Major and Princess Royal Scholarships awarded by the Inner Temple. In the course of pupillage, Sam assisted with a range of commercial and competition law matters. These included high-value contractual and civil fraud claims, jurisdiction disputes, and several follow-on and standalone abuse of dominance claims. Sam joins Chambers in September 2026.

Emma Rawkins graduated with a first-class degree in Law from Brasenose College, Oxford, where she finished third in the year and received the Gibbs Book prize for combined performance across the private law modules. She then obtained a distinction on the BCL, having been awarded the Barry Nicholas Scholarship for her studies. After that Emma wrote her DPhil on the law of trusts, supervised by Professor William Swadling; her thesis was fully funded by the Sir Ivor Roberts Scholarship. During this time, Emma taught contract, tort, trusts and criminal law to undergraduate students at the University of Oxford. Emma is a recent recipient of Gray’s Inn’s Bedingfield Scholarship. During pupillage, Emma worked on a range of disputes across commercial and public law. Emma joins chambers in September 2026.

Robyn Bower-Morris started pupillage after working as a judicial assistant to Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr in the Court of Appeal. In this role, Robyn worked on complex human rights cases including R v ABJ [2024] EWCA Crim 1597 (concerning the proportionality of s12(1A) Terrorism Act 2000) and Chief Constable of Sussex v XGY [2025] EWCA Civ 1230 (the leading case on the scope of the immunity for statements made in court). Robyn has a first-class degree in English from Oxford University. She subsequently undertook a law conversion at City University. During pupillage, Robyn assisted on a range of commercial, public and competition law disputes. She was awarded one of four Senior Scholarships by Gray’s Inn reserved for pupils of exceptional merit. Robyn joins chambers in September 2026.
