Jeremy Gauntlett SC joins Brick Court Chambers

Brick Court Chambers are very pleased to announce that Jeremy Gauntlett SC has joined chambers as a tenant as from January 2014. Jeremy Gauntlett SC practices in commercial, public, competition, public international law and constitutional law. He is a former chairman of the General Council of the Bar in South Africa and has been involved in many of the leading cases in South Africa and elsewhere in Southern Africa. Most prominent of these recently has been acting for Zimbabwean commercial farmers who lost their land under the Government of Zimbabwe's land seizure programme, before the SADC Tribunal, domestic courts and now the African Commission en route to the African Court. His clients include major financial institutions, mining companies as well as Treasury, Revenue and other State entities in South Africa and beyond. He has arbitrated ICC, IATA and CAS disputes.
