Jonathan Sumption QC appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court

It was announced this morning that Jonathan Sumption QC has been appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court with effect from a date to be agreed with the President of the Court. He will take up the appointment as soon as his existing professional commitments have been completed.

Mr. Sumption will not be accepting any new instructions.
