Lord Hope joins Brick Court Chambers

Lord Hope of Craighead has accepted Brick Court Chambers invitation to join them as an arbitrator following his retirement from the Supreme Court earlier this year.  Lord Hope had a distinguished career in Scotland at both bar and bench.  He served as Dean of the Faculty of Advocates prior to his appointment as Lord Justice General of Scotland and Lord President of the Court of Session and then a Lord of Appeal in ordinary.  In 2009 he was appointed second senior Lord of Appeal, and later that year became deputy President of the Supreme Court until his retirement in June 2013.
