Mark Hapgood QC

15/04/20

It is with great sadness that we announce that Mark Hapgood QC died peacefully at home over the Easter weekend.

Mark was called to the Bar in 1979 and joined Brick Court Chambers in 1988, having formerly practised at 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square. He was the most junior member of the Bar to be appointed Queen's Counsel in 1994, and was widely hailed as a stellar silk in commercial litigation, particularly in the banking, finance and professional negligence sectors.  He edited and contributed to many definitive legal publications.

He will be greatly missed by his colleagues in chambers and his many friends in the profession.
