We announce with great sadness that Peter Irvin died peacefully at home on Saturday after a lengthy illness.
Peter was a tenant of chambers for almost 50 years, having joined in 1973 after pupillage, and he became a door tenant earlier this year. He had a substantial and varied practice as an advocate, as well as, more recently as an arbitrator and CEDR accredited mediator. He loved the Bar and its friendships and was particularly active in Gray’s Inn, where he was a Bencher.
He will be greatly missed by his colleagues in chambers and by his many friends in the profession. We send our deepest condolences to his family.
