Robert McCorquodale appointed to United Nations body

The United Nations Human Rights Council has appointed Professor Robert McCorquodale to be a member of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights. This is an expert body of five people from around the globe, appointed for six years each, who seek to provide guidance and clarification for companies, states and civil society in the field of corporate accountability for adverse human rights impacts. The Working Group also deals with complaints about corporate actions and undertake country visits. It is a part-time role, with most meetings and consultations being held in Geneva.
