Robert O’Donoghue and Kelyn Bacon featured in GCR’s 40 under 40 of Competition lawyers

In the March 2012 edition of Global Competition Review, the top 40 under 40 was published, a review of the top global young competition lawyers.

The list is complied by means of a rigorous selection process beginning with over 1,000 nominations, narrowed to a shortlist of 150 before the final top 40 are chosen in a peer selection process. To be included reflects the standing of the nominees with regards to GCR's remit: "young lawyers whose superior technical skill, practical judgement and commitment to the competition sector mark them out as part of the next generation of leading antitrust practitioners."

The list features only three entrants from the bar; of these three, two are members of Brick Court Chambers, Robert O'Donoghue and Kelyn Bacon. Additionally Kelyn Bacon is one of only nine people in the list to have now appeared twice, having first appeared in the list in 2004, as well as appearing in GCR's ‘100 women in antitrust' in the same year.

Robert O'Donoghue was also recently featured in the GCR Report on 'Who's Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists 2011', and Kelyn Bacon was awarded ‘Competition/EU Junior of the Year' at the 2008 Chambers Bar Awards. Both are cited as leaders in their field in the leading directories.
