Two books on the role of courts in the international legal order

22/03/16

Two books, one published by Oxford University Press, the other by Cambridge University Press, and edited by Mads Andenas, are just published.  They were launched at All Souls College in Oxford last week. The books deal with comparative and international law in the courts. The focus of the first, A Farewell to Fragmentation. Reassertion and Convergence in International Law, is how international courts can contribute to the coherence of international law by making use of the case law of other courts and tribunals.  Further details can be found here.  In the other book,  Courts and Comparative Law, the consequences of the increasing use of comparative law in the courts are analysed.  Further details here.
