Jeremy Gauntlett KC practises internationally. He serves on the Financial Markets Tribunal of Dubai, the Shanghai International Arbitration Court, the China South Africa Joint Arbitration Centre and the Commercial Appeals Panel of the Arbitration Federation of Southern Africa. He has also held appointments as an IATA and ICC arbitrator. He has also appeared as counsel in ICC and AFSA arbitrations, as well as before the Court of Arbitration in Sport, Lausanne. He practises from Brick Court Chambers as well as both the Cape and Johannesburg Bars. He is also a member of the Bar of Ireland (King’s Inns).

Jeremy Gauntlett has extensive experience across commercial and public law litigation. A Senior Counsel in South Africa as well as a KC (practising also from chambers in the Cape Town and Johannesburg), he has frequently been leading counsel in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal and Competition Appeal Court of South Africa. He has regularly been Treasury counsel in both South Africa and Namibia. He appears too in the High Courts and Supreme Courts of Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. He is a former President of the Cape Bar, chairman of the South African Bar, member of the Council of the IBA and sessional Judge of Appeal of Lesotho. Since 2011 he has been a Bencher of  Middle Temple. He was elected in 2012 to the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
