Investigative Powers Report published

Today saw the release of David Anderson QC’s report on Investigatory Powers, commissioned by the Prime Minister pursuant to the Data Retention and Investigatory Powers Act 2014.

The report is expected to influence the forthcoming Investigatory Powers Bill: some early comment on it is here and here  

Tim Johnston and Jennifer MacLeod assisted David Anderson on the Review.
