Law 360, 08/08/2019
The judgment today makes it clear that Mr. Azima's persistent failure to meet court deadlines will not be allowed to continue, the spokesperson said in a statement. Mr. Azima has failed in his efforts to bring a baseless counterclaim into these proceedings in yet another attempt to divert attention away from his role in an international fraud committed against RAK entities. RAKIA is represented by Hugh Tomlinson QC and Edward Craven of Matrix Chambers, instructed by Stewarts Law LLP. Azima is represented by Tim Lord QC of Brick Court Chambers, instructed by Burlingtons Legal LLP. The case is Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority v. Azima, case number HC-2016-002798, in the Chancery Division of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales.
