Brick Court Chambers assists the Equality and Human Rights Commission

The Commission's high-profile Inquiry into the home care system in England, which was published on 23rd November 2011, reveals disturbing evidence that the poor treatment of many older people is breaching their human rights. The Commission says hundreds of thousands of older people lack protection under the Human Rights Act and calls for this legal loophole to be closed.

Richard Gordon QC advised the Equality and Human Rights Commission on the legal aspects of its Report.
