David Bailey KC has been featured in The Lawyer’s article Silks Day 2026: Meet the Stars from The Lawyer’s Top 20 Cases.

The piece highlights David’s development of a leading competition law practice, shaped by a longstanding interest in economics and experience spanning both private practice and public enforcement. His time as a referendaire at the Competition Appeal Tribunal provided early insight into judicial decision-making, while his role as standing counsel to the Competition and Markets Authority over 10 years has seen him act across a wide range of complex matters.

In addition to being a Professor of Practice at King's College London, David’s practice spans both claimant and defendant work in major collective actions, with recent appearances in high-profile cases before the Tribunal. Now appointed as King’s Counsel, he is looking to expand further into environmental litigation, alongside maintaining a strong competition and EU law practice.
