Shaping EU Law the British Way

A book on the contribution to EU law of the UK Advocates General at the Court of Justice is being officially launched today. 

Entitled Shaping EU Law the British Way: UK Advocates General at the Court of Justice of the European Union (https://www.bloomsbury.com/9781509950003/) it includes contributions from scholars and practitioners, as well as from the living former holders of the position.  James Flynn KC (who was Legal Secretary to Advocate General Sir Gordon Slynn) has contributed a chapter on the AGs’ Opinions in Case 155/79 AM&S Europe on the topic of Legal Professional Privilege - here.  Along with Sir Nicholas Forwood KC, James Flynn was also one of the counsel representing former Advocate General Eleanor Sharpston in her legal challenge to the manner and timing of the termination of her mandate (see here and here).
