Uber secures right to continue operating in London

The Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday upheld Uber London Limited’s (Uber’s) heavily publicised licensing appeal, finding that, as at the date of the hearing, Uber was “fit and proper” despite historical failings and, therefore, entitled to be granted a licence to operate in London.

The Court granted a licence of 18 months, subject to conditions, and directed Uber to pay TfL’s costs of the appeal.
