International Women’s Day 2020

The members and staff of Brick Court Chambers are incredibly proud to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March.

Brick Court, and specifically its female members, have recently been involved in:

  • a celebration to mark the centenary of women being able for the first time to enter the legal profession, in conjunction with the re-issue in paperback of Hilary Heilbron QC’s biography of her pioneering mother, Dame Rose Heilbron (see previous news item here);
  • a series of events aimed at encouraging women to pursue careers at the Commercial Bar (which featured in The Times);
  • Jennifer MacLeod winning Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year;
  • Marie Demetriou QC and Zahra Al-Rikabi being featured in The Lawyer’s Hot 100;
  • Helen Davies QC speaking at Temple Women’s Forum  event on Planned Breaks and Return to the Bar.
